Obituary of Donna Jeanne Gosney

Donna Jeanne Gosney, 84, of Cold Spring, KY, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, October 23, 2023. The daughter of the late Robert and Margaret {Alexander} Schuster, Donna was born in Covington, KY, on June 24, 1939. She retired from Northern Kentucky University as an Administrative Assistant after 25 years of service.

Donna enjoyed going on family trips and golf outings with her late husband, Eugene. She loved reading mystery novels, savoring a chocolate milkshake from Steak n’ Shake, playing piano, coaching the Lakeside Christian Church Softball Team, attending her grandchildren’s activities, playing euchre, and visiting the casino to play on her favorite slot machine, the Sizzling 7. Donna was always dressed to the nine’s and never missed her weekly hair appointment every Friday.  

She will be deeply missed by her children, Wendy (Mike) Clifton, Terry (Mike) Penick, Chris (Teresa) Gosney, Jody (Mike) Harmeyer, and Dena (Tony) Gosney; grandchildren Jonathon, Brittney, Mallory, Moriah, Ali, Collin, Mackenzie, Austin, and Brady; great-grandchildren Mason, Pyper, Tevis, Everrett, Emelia, Eliza, and Kohen; and great-great-granddaughter Ivy Mae.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Gosney; grandsons Trey C. Gosney and Tony Viscuso; and sisters Brenda Carr and Patsy Lutz.

A visitation will be held between 4PM and 7PM on Thursday, October 26^th at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike Independence, KY 41051. Donna’s funeral service will be held the following day at the funeral home on, Friday, October 27^th at 11AM. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
