Obituary of Theresa Ann Lyons

Theresa Ann Lyons of Villa Hills, age 66, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023. She was born in Cincinnati, OH on October 25, 1957. Theresa attended University of Cincinnati and Thomas More where she obtained an associate’s degree in business. She retired as a purchaser for General Electric after working 27 years. Theresa was very family oriented but had a soft spot for children. She absolutely loved kids.  She had the most giving heart as she would offer you the shirt off her back with no hesitation and she was always very proud to show up to holidays or family events with gifts for everyone. Theresa had a great sense of humor and was very outgoing. Her bubbly, nurturing spirit brought comfort to those who knew her. She was a daughter, mom, aunt, and grandma whose sweet smile will be deeply missed.  

She is survived by her loving daughter, Brittney Lyons; mother, Helen Lyons; her nieces who she treated as her own, Christina Sullivan, Alexa Roll, and Hannah Lyons; great-nieces and nephews who were treated as grandchildren, Ashia, Myla, Kinley, Charlee, Dougie, and Caleb; as well as several other friends and relatives who will cherish her memory.

She is preceded in death by her father, George D. Lyons and her brother, Douglas C. Lyons.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway Florence, KY 41042. The service will begin at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Following the service, a celebration of life will be held at 1622 Dixie Highway Park Hills, KY 41011, at about 2:00 PM.  Memorial donations can be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org/donate.
