Obituary of Theresa Mae Fahey Kordenbrock

Theresa Mae [Fahey] Kordenbrock, age 88, of Independence, KY, passed away Monday, November 13, 2023, at Cold Spring Transitional Care Center in Cold Spring, KY. She was a head cashier for Albers and Big Star grocery chains in Covington, KY and a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Independence, KY.

Theresa enjoyed playing bingo and working in her garden. She loved to can and cook (especially when it was her own home-grown vegetables and fruits).  She was a constant supporter and fan, cheering on her two favorite sports teams—the Cincinnati Reds and University of Kentucky Wildcats. Whether it was bowling, softball, volleyball or racquet ball, she never missed one of her daughter’s sporting events. Theresa cherished her family and would take every possible opportunity to spend time with them.

Her husband of 63 years, Ralph Kordenbrock, her parents Joseph and Mary [Rolfsen] Fahey, her brothers Thomas Fahey, Bernard Fahey, James Fahey and Lawrence Fahey, her sisters Patricia Fahey, Pauline Yauch, and Gerri Brewer all preceded her in death.

She is survived by daughters, Mary Agnes Miller (Dan) and Donna Marie Kordenbrock; grandchildren, Andrew Joseph Miller (Tarra) and Amanda Marie Kloeker (Andrew); and great grandchildren, Joey Miller, Scarlett Miller, Alexis Kloeker, and Adam Kloeker; as well as her sister Mary Domaschko and brother Richard Fahey.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 19, 2023, from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. A Mass of Christian Burial will be the following day on Monday November 20, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 5313 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Interment will be at Mother of God Cemetery in Latonia, KY. Memorial donations may be made to St. Cecilia Catholic Church.
