Obituary of Willie Lee Todd
Please share a memory of Willie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the transition of Willie Lee Todd, 85, most recently of Verona, KY, who entered into eternal rest on February 10, 2024. He was born to the late Tommie Lee Todd and Mary Ellen [Macon] Todd on August 11, 1938. Willie was born and raised in Mayfield, KY and graduated from Dunbar High School.
Willie was a devoted husband and family man. Seeking a better life and greater opportunity for those he loved, Willie and his family moved from Kentucky and made a new home in California. He was employed and retired from being caretaker and custodian to Palo Alto High School. In his free time during his younger years, Willie enjoyed creating model cars and trains. He also loved to relax at home and watch Westerns on TV. To most, Willie was typically a quiet and reserved person by nature. But to those he knew and cared for, Willie was open and conversational. We honor how Willie’s life shaped and changed those of the folks around him for the better. This precious husband, dad, grandpa, and brother will be forever missed.
Willie was a dedicated husband of over 60 years to Juanita [Duffy] Todd; loving father to Lisa (Jeff) Rider; cherished grandfather to Dezmond Oliver, Lissette Oliver, Brandon Oliver, and Randy Oliver; dear great-grandfather to Leasia Oliver, Kahlel Angel, Scarlett Angel, Theseus Angel, Brandon Oliver, Jr., and Kaiden Oliver, and beloved brother to Brian “Kent” Todd. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Billie Lee Todd, sisters Anna Laura Perry and Nell Thorpe as well as his daughter Cheryl Renee Todd.
Willie’s life will be commemorated privately at the convenience of the family. To share an online condolence, a photo or a memory, please visit the tabs on this page.
