Obituary of Jerry D. Gadd

Jerry D. Gadd, 79, of Florence, KY, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 13^th, 2024. The son of the late Jess and Dorothy {Mullins} Gadd, Jerry was born in Covington, KY on November 14, 1944. He grew up attending Decoursey Baptist Church in Covington and later graduated from Dixie Heights High School. Jerry spent over 30 years of his career as an Insurance Agent with MetLife and enjoyed staying busy with his employment at Triple Crown Country Club’s golf course after his retirement. In his spare time, Jerry loved to golf, fish, and watch U.K. sports. A proud Papaw, he most of all cherished the time spent watching his grandson’s football and baseball sporting events.

He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Stephanie (Doug) Stiene; grandsons Evan Mitchell Stiene and Caleb Matthew Stiene; and sister-in-law Verna Gadd.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Nancy Gadd, brother Dale Gadd, and sister Sherry Mullins.

A visitation will be held between 2 PM and 5 PM on Sunday, February 18^th at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike Independence, KY 41051. Jerry’s funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, February 19^th at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Independence Cemetery.
