I am heartbroken to hear of Lawson’s passing. He was my student intern at the library during his Senior year. Lawson was a sweet and kind young man, who brought much joy to my days. Every day, I looked forward to the time we spent together and to watching him grow and learn. Lawson was so proud of his research of his grandfather’s house in Ghent and excited to share the results with him. I know Lawson treasured that connection. For myself, I learned quite a bit about frisbee golf, skiing in Colorado, and his amazing life with his family. It was a good year and one I will always remember.
I wish you peace and solace through this unfathomable sorrow.

I want to send love and hugs to you and your family. I lost a child at age 30, and I have a hole in my heart that will never heal.
I read the account of your son's life, and I am quiet certain he was a very special young man.
I too, lost a child at age 30, and I have a hole in my heart that will never heal.
I recently survived 2 major floods that devastated S.E. KY., then a traumatic, surgery with NO pain management, during this time my mother came to me; hugging me, she said " You are my child", you are stronger than you think, and this too shall pass.
The pain of losing a child never goes away, the memories will always live in my head, flood waters, physical pain, etc.. cannot erase our memories.
Dwell on your son's goodness, joy, and all the things he brought to those who knew him.
It was a joy and a privilege watching you grow up; smart, pretty, joyful, kind and considerate. I'm sure your son was a recipient of all those characteristics that made his mother special.
Much Love, Miss Edith McClees, Courtney 90 Drive Inn Lane, Jackson, Ky. 41339

I am so sorry to hear about Lawson's death. I didn't know him, but from what I've heard and read, he was a fine young man who will be missed so much. I went to church with Barbara & Lloyd Murdock and their children at First Baptist in Princeton, KY. You all will be in my prayers. Anita Alexander Jones

Lawson was one of the best poker players. Never knew what hand he held bc he always had a smile on his face! The relationship between Shawn and him is only one that us Dads could only hope for with our kids.

Although I only know Megan professionally and didn't have the privilege of meeting Lawson, it's evident that he left a profound impact on all who knew him. My thoughts are with your family, and I wish you all the best during this difficult time.

Lawson was in my FIN305 class. He was such a good student and had full of energy to learn Finance. I find him always responsive in the class.
I have no words to express my condolences to his family. May God bestow his shower of blessing to him and his family!

Shawn my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. The loss of someone so dear to us is difficult to say the least. I hope your faith and the memories of your son will pull you through the days ahead.
When my niece passed a friend sent me this poem:
We think of you with love today,
But that is nothing new,
We thought of you yesterday and all the days before that too.
We think of you in silence and often speak your name.
All we have now are our wonderful memories and your picture in a frame.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you didn't go alone.
A part of us went with you the day God took you home.
Feel my presence in the whisper of the wind,
I'm the Angel beside you, until we are together again!
I read this often, it gave me some peace in my heart and still have it hanging up today to reflect on. I'll be praying for you and your family today, tomorrow and the days ahead. I know your son is special, because of who you are!
Your ole friend - Denise Harris Geiger

Lawson was such a great friend and had the sweetest soul. I remember hanging with him and a group of friends shortly after we met and we were playing games and listening to music. We played a bunch of Morgan Wallen songs and Lawson could name them all just from hearing the first 2 seconds of the song. I loved how much he loved music. I will always remember his kindness to others.

I never met Lawson, but I felt like I knew him from his Aunt Jan, my dearest friend. She was so fond of him and so proud of the way he traveled through life. I know she is welcoming him to heaven right now and they are planning grand adventures. I wish blessings and some measure of solace to all of you who loved Lawson. Mariana Parks
