Obituary of Jessica Marie Freeman-Ramirez

Jessica Marie Freeman-Ramirez, 37, a life-long resident of Burlington, KY, passed away enveloped in the love of family at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Florence, KY on March 3, 2024.  Born on September 7, 1986, in Edgewood, KY, she was the beloved daughter of Debbie [Souder] Freeman and Darryl Freeman.

In her youth, she enjoyed camping, yard sales and swap meets as well as swimming. After graduation from Conner High School, she briefly studied to be a phlebotomist. Life had other plans for Jessica though, and she found her most fulfilling calling as a devoted mom, wife, and grandma.  Beyond this, she still kept busy with her own side business, designing and making vinyl decals, cups, and t-shirts. Jessica was a country girl to her core.  Having grown up raising and tending cattle on her parents’ farm, she loved nothing more than cooking up a good steak and spending quality time with her family.

Jessica was a cherished wife to Benny Ramirez.  She adored her children Courtney, Cole (Kaylee), and Jordan as well as her stepchildren Benny Jr., April, Rosemary, and Melanie.  She was a treasured daughter to Darryl Freeman and dear sibling to Talesha (Donald) Isaacs, Logan Freeman, Morgan Freeman, McKinzie Freeman, Michael Wagers and Matthew Wagers.  She was a precious grandma to Zeda Lynn. Her nieces and nephews Ethan, Dylan, Addison and Ciara, as well as cousins, other close family and friends will miss her ever present laugh and her luminous personality.  Jessica was preceded in death by her mother, Debbie Freeman as well as her paternal grandparents Nora and Jake Freeman, II, and her maternal grandparents Marcella Smith and Bernard Souder.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Hwy, Florence, KY 41042 from 10:00 AM until shortly before the time of the funeral service at 12:00 PM.  Directly following the funeral service, Jessica will be gently laid to rest at Beech Grove Holiness Cemetery,  Big Jimmy Hill Rd/Beechgrove Rd, Union, KY 41005.
