Obituary of Annie Lee Bailey Gabbard

Annie Lee Bailey Gabbard, age 74, of Cincinnati, OH, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Mercy Health Hospital in Cincinnati.  Ann was a homemaker and an avid reader of mysteries.  She also enjoyed playing bingo and collecting rings.  She derived her greatest enjoyment though in spending time with her family, especially preparing meals for them, including her “famous potato soup”. 

Ann was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Gabbard; son, Shawn Gabbard; grandson, William Simpson, sister, Grace Hacker, brother, Ronnie Bailey, sister, Jackie Bell, and brother, Jerry Bailey.  She is lovingly survived by her children, Johnny Gabbard, Michael Gabbard, and Lisa Iery; siblings, Bob Bailey, James Bailey, and Mary Smith; grandchildren, Benjamin “BJ” Gabbard, Adam Simpson, Brittany Gabbard, Anna Simpson, Patience Gabbard, Shaun Gabbard, and Charles “Charlie” Iery; and great grandson, Asher Thompson. 

Visitation for Ann will be Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with her funeral service immediately following at 1 p.m. at Lighthouse Tabernacle Church, 9664 State Route 774, Hammersville, OH 45130. Pastor David Burgess will be officiating.  Interment will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, 686 Mt. Moriah Drive, Cincinnati, OH 45245.  Memorials may be made to Lighthouse Tabernacle Church.  To leave the family a message of condolence, please go to www.chambersandgrubbs.com.
