Obituary of Patsy Ruth Underwood
Patsy Ruth Underwood, 85, of Florence, KY left her earthly home on March 29th, 2024. Born in Iroquois, West Virginia on April 22nd, 1938, Patsy was the daughter of James and Blanch Thomas.
She was a member of Union Baptist Church in Union, KY for the past six years. Patsy was a loving mother and a devoted wife and homemaker whose home was well kept. Her summers were spent in her pool and she took great pride in her home, as well as her appearance. From time to time, Patsy enjoyed volunteering for the American Heart Association. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Taylor Mill, KY.
For over 25 years, Patsy was also a devoted member of her Bunco group and would often join them for fun events. She never turned down an opportunity for a late-night run to Waffle House with her granddaughters and her friends. Her granddaughters will always cherish the memories they made together.
Patsy is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 64 years, William “Bill” Underwood, who passed just one year ago; as well as her sister and brothers.
She is survived by her sons, Keith (Susie) Underwood, Greg (Bev) Underwood, and Jeff (Cara) Underwood; beloved grandchildren, Zachary, Natalie, Morgan, Jake, Josh, and Ethan; great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Sophia; and many other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 4th, 2024 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway Florence, KY 41042. The memorial service will begin at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. If you will be joining us to celebrate the life of Patsy, please wear red in her honor.
