Willie Smith 89 years old, died peacefully on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at St Elizabeth Grant County Hospital. He was the husband of the late Maudean Peters Smith. They married on February 6, 1957, and shared 55 years of marriage together and had 8 children.

Willie was born November 19, 1934, and had several jobs through the years; a coal miner, window cleaner and then retired from Clow Corporation. He enjoyed fishing with family and friends, and spending time with his dog Kai. He always enjoyed his chewing tobacco and watching birds and Nascar Racing.  He will be remembered for the love of his family and always finding a way to make you laugh.

Willie is survived by his 5 children Keith (Missy) Smith of Alexandria Ky, Sherry (Mark) Hon of Sparta Ky, Sheilah (Phillip) Wynn of Williamstown Ky, Teddy Smith of Walton Ky, Creed Smith of Elsmere Ky several grandchildren and numerous family and friends.

Willie is preceded in death by his beloved wife Maudean Peters Smith and three sons Billy Ray Smith, Johnny Smith, and Tony Smith.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Big Bone Baptist Church Cemetery, 11036 Big Bone Church Rd. Union, KY 41091. Memorial donations can be made in Willie’s name to St. Elizabeth Hospice by clicking here.. Flowers can be delivered directly to Big Bone Baptist Church Cemetery on Wednesday.
