Obituary of James Lee Sevier

James Lee Sevier of Burlington, age 70, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 28, 2024, in the comfort of his own home. He was born in Manchester, KY on January 1, 1954, to the late Beatrice {Mitchell} and James M. Sevier. James enjoyed spending the majority of his time outdoors. He loved going boating, camping, fishing, and riding 4-wheelers and jet skis. He passionately collected guns and flashlights. Although he could be a bit stubborn, James was always kindhearted with a good sense of humor! He loved his family and adored his grandkids. James will be deeply missed by those who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Michael Sevier.

He is survived by his significant other, Anita Sevier; children, Robin (Travis Updike) Sevier, James (Kristin) Sevier, and Kristie (Kris) Woodall; beloved grandchildren, Zac Alcorn, Anthony James Sevier, Brooklin Woodall, and Gage Woodall; great-grandchild, Jaxon Sevier; former wife and close friend, Pam Walton; as well as many other close friends and relatives.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike Independence, KY 41051. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Immediately following the service, James will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY.
