Lek Menefee Obituary

Lek {Arthong} Menefee, 75, of Demossville, KY, born May 12, 1949, in Khorat, Thailand passed away suddenly at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, June 10, 2024. Lek married the love of her life, Michael Menefee, and was a proud military wife to him for over 22 years. An outdoorswoman, Lek enjoyed camping, feeding the birds, gardening, and growing Thai hot peppers which she then made into chili powder for the whole family.  Lek was known for her delicious Thai meals including her delicious beef noodle soup, fried rice, and green curry. Her faith was significant and would actively attend the Thai Buddhist Meditation Temple in Dayton, (Wat Paknam America Ohio) and also the Buddhist Thai Temple in Frankfort, (Wat Kentucky Bodhivanaram.) Most of all, Lek cherished the time spent with her husband, children, and grandchildren who will forever hold her close to their hearts.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, Michael Menefee; children Phumipat “Nong” Pavidapha, Usana “Noi” Pavidapha, Timothy Isaiah (Claudia) Menefee, and Amy Gale (Louis) Mullins; grandchildren Mason, Bryce, and Melina Mullins; and her Thai friends.
