Doris June Wilson Sharon, age 85, of Independence, KY, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood, KY.  She was a former Bookkeeper for R.Y.A.N. of No. Ky., Inc., former Appliance Manager for Kmart in Erlanger, KY, and a long-time member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Independence, KY.  Doris had a strong commitment to her faith.  If the church was having a worship service, you could typically find her there.  She enjoyed Bible study, and ministering to others by sending greeting cards to let them know someone cared.  Doris was also an avid reader, loyal dog owner, and had an affinity for growing African Violet plants.  Preceding Doris in death were her husband, Herbert Sharon, grandparents (who raised her), Harley and Elsie Davis Tippett, and parents, Ray Wilson and Elizabeth Tippett Robinson.  She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Sharon Wolle (David) and Melinda “Lindy” Sharon Epperson (Doug); sister-in-law, Anna Riley; grandchildren, Jonathan Wolle (Wendy) and Andrew Wolle; and great grandchildren, Jude Wolle and Ruby Wolle.  Visitation for Doris will be Tuesday, June 25, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon with the funeral service beginning at noon at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051.  Memorials may be made to Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 11969 Taylor Mill Rd., Independence, KY.  For directions, to view her Life Tribute Video or to leave a message of condolence to the family, please go to www.chambersandgrubbs.com.
