Obituary of Darin Ray Goins

Darin Ray Goins, age 23, of Elsmere, KY, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024, at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.  He was a former Warehouse Associate for Saddlecreek Logistics in Walton, KY and enjoyed playing video games and was a “Sneakerhead”.  Darin enjoyed cooking (as well as eating) and was adventurous in the types of foods he prepared.   He also had a strong interest in plants (especially cacti).  Darin was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend.  He had a kind heart, would give you the shirt off his back, and had a quiet soul.  He will always be remembered and loved by his mother, Patti Sechrest (John Cook); father, Nathan Goins (Crystal Knox); sisters, Whitney Sechrest and Adriana Nelson; step-sister, Kelly Cook; step-brother, John Cook; Uncle, Tony Sechrest (Connie Marquez); Aunt, Tina Sechrest (Greg Harris); Nieces, Sadie Cook and Jazalynn Story;  Nephew, Bentley Fuller; paternal grandmother, Kathy Owens; maternal grandfather, Virgil Sechrest; and cousins, Chris Sechrest and Danielle Montgomery.  A Gathering of Friends will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a Celebration of Life service beginning at 7 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral, 8461 Dixie Hwy., Florence, KY 41042.  Memorials donations may be made to the family by clicking here.  For directions, to view his Life Tribute Video or to leave the family a message of condolence, please go to www.chambersandgrubbs.com.
