Billy Hensley Obituary

Billy Hensley of Morning View, age 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 22, 2024, in the comfort of his own home. He was born in Dewitt, KY on April 23, 1938, to the late Florence {Grubb} and Tescoe Hensley. Billy retired as an inspector for General Motors. If you know Billy, then you know he had a great sense of humor! Although stubborn at times, he never held a grudge with anyone. He loved kids and was a grandpa to everyone. In his spare time, Billy enjoyed being outdoors whether it was fishing, hunting, horse back riding, or tending to his garden. He was a wonderful husband, devoted father, and loving grandpa who will be deeply missed.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sons, David Hensley and Michael Hensley; and his siblings, Ruth Wells and Tommy Hensley.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Charlene {Grout} Hensley; children, Tedd (Becky) Hensley, Shane (Jess) Hensley, and Brandon Hensley; beloved grandchildren, Theo, Ethan Raymond, Ethan Riley, Kaylee, Randi, Blake, Derek, Katie, Kris, Kelly, and Kurtis; great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Evan, Jaxon, Taylor, Hudson, Tucker, and Lane; siblings, Monica McQueary and Bobby Hensley; as well as several other close friends and relatives who will cherish his memory.
