Obituary of Calvin Lee Morris

It is with great sadness that the family of Calvin Lee Morris announces his passing on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 9:25 p.m. after a long fought battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 76. 

Calvin was born on September 24, 1947 in St. Bernard, Ohio to James and Lillian Morris nee Senour. Calvin was a very kind, wise, and witty soul. He led by example, instilling in his family the values of hardwork, courage, and appreciation for the small joys in life. 

He retired from Kahn’s and Sons, followed by his retirement from the City of Florence as a water inspector. In his retirement, he had a deep love of cards and enjoyed playing poker at the Moose Lodge and bridge at the Scheben library. Calvin was a Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Reds fan. Above all else, Calvin loved his family. 

Calvin will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Rebecca Morris nee Seiter; his children Melissa (Robert) Auteri, Melanie (David) Brinkley, and Mark (Linda) Morris; his grandchildren Nicholas (Alesha) Auteri, Sydney Auteri (Ian Manahan), Jordan Perry, Austin Brinkley, Maxwell Brinkley, Ava Hartley, and Max Morris; his great-grandchildren Liam, McKenna, and Gracyn Perry; and his siblings Sharon (Gary) Lower, Ladonna (Glen) Uhl, and James (Julie) Morris. 

Visitation for Calvin will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Chamber and Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway, Florence, KY 41042.
