Obituary of Ahsoka Moreland

Ahsoka Marie Moreland, born to her momma in the early morning hours on June 30, 2024, is now forever resting in her daddy’s arms, wrapped in a pink blankie

Ahsoka, meaning “no sorrow” and Marie, the namesake of her mother, measured eleven inches and twelve ounces. Her eyebrows the color of angel wings, and feet so large she was lovingly teased to have taken after her uncle, Nick. For years the sweet girl was highly anticipated and in just a brief time, she touched the lives of so many.

Ahsoka was greeted in the afterlife by her father, Gary C. Moreland. She will be remembered always by her adoring mother; Emili Marie Moreland nee Covey, grandparents; Donald (Alice) Covey, Denise (Gregory Hawkins) Tackett, aunts and uncles; Timothy Covey, Nickolas Andes, Kaytlynn Covey, Brandon Hubbard, Melissa Masaitis, Amber, Melissa Tackett, Taran Diabo, Beth Geraci, and by her honorary aunt; Natasha Scudder.
