Thomas S. Moffett, Jr. of Covington, age 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 5, 2024, at Summit of Edgewood. He was born in Covington, KY on November 2, 1937, to the late Virginia {Pruett} and Thomas S. Moffett, Sr. Tom retired after working many years for Cinergy. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending his time outdoors by going fishing and working in his yard. Eventually, he and his wife would spend the winter months every year in the Gulf Shores. Tom always had a witty sense of humor and liked making others laugh. He was a husband, father, brother, and grandpa who will be deeply missed by those who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Cooper; brothers-in-law, Mel Whiteker, Don Cooper, and John Cooper; and his sister-in-law, Alleen Cooper.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Marilyn {Cooper} Moffett; daughters, Toni (John) Gleason and Tracy (Kenny Wayne) Stapleton; grandchildren, Chris (Brittany) Hammons and Ben (Kristina) Hammons; great-grandchildren, Landon, Alexander, Heidi, Caroline, Philip, and Jackson; his sister, Patricia Whiteker; his little dog, Carly Sue; as well as several other friends and relatives who will cherish his memory.
