One day walking to FFA class behind SK by the bus garage, it was snowing and out jumped 4-5 boys from class , throwing snowballs at me an my friend Donna. Well we were gonna fight back, so we grabbed some snow and a few rocks …. aimed and fired back. As a boy ran by the bus garage office door , I threw my snowball . He ducked and I broke the glass out of that door! Well a big man walked out and yelled at us , everyone ran to class , except me . I walked up and introduced myself as Sindy Parker , and I’m so sorry!
I looked at him with teared filled eyes and he said , I’ll take care of it . Get to class honey . As I walked away , he said … that was a great throw to bad he didn’t get hit !
That was my sweet new friend Mr Walters and he said I can call him BOB ! Loved that man ♥️

My condolences to you and your family. Bob was a great neighbor and buddy to me. I’m going to miss our conversations in the driveway and him rolling in the garage to see what projects I was working on. RIP and May god be with you.

Bob Walter was my buss driver when I went to Taylor Mill Elementary. His son always rode in the seat behind him on the buss. He was also my 6th. Grade teacher! He was tuff a no crap sorta guy! His morning look was intimidating always! He had a mean yard stick when it hit your desk you sat straight up,I’ll tell you. Later in life his grandson meets my daughter and now married I have enjoyed being with Bob at family functions reminiscing over our past, a great man to have known and he will be missed.

Bob was man of many talents and I will always remember him because he gave me a life changing chance. He believed in me and pushed me beyond my limits. He was a big part in making my career with schools buses happen. Rest in peace my friend! ❤️
