Obituary of Patricia Dehner Rose

Please share a memory of Patricia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Patricia L Dehner-Rose (Mercer), age 89 of Covington, KY stepped into her heavenly home on September 23, 2024.

Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is resting eternally in peace and worshipping her God. Patty was a member of Florence Baptist Church for 27 years. Previously she sang in the choir at her home church of Hickory Grove and taught the 1st grade classes in Sunday school. She was a caring woman who enjoyed raising her children and her family.

Patty was a woman of faith and a wonderful example to those around her. She maintained her faith and disposition even after facing the death of her husbands, son, daughter, grandson, and siblings. Through her ups and downs with health and physical pains, she never lost sight of what was important.

Patty’s friends will fondly remember receiving her handwritten cards that she thought of so sincerely. She was a well-organized and put together lady.  Each detail of her plans were put together with care. Extremely likeable and sweet natured, she was easy to love.

Preceding her in death are her first and second husbands, Gene Dehner and Ron Rose, all but one of her siblings, her children; John Dehner and Kathy Dehner, and her grandson; Travis Dehner.

Her family left on earth celebrating her victory and missing her always are her children; Jeff (Holly) Dehner, Michelle (Michael) Davis, and Lindsay (Eric) Sanford, stepchildren; Randall Rose, Rhonda (Dan) Qasem, Linda Rose, Robin Saylor, Ryan (Elaine) Rose, her youngest brother; Jimmy Mercer, many grandchildren, many many great-grandchildren, and her best friend of over 50 years; Geraldine Huff.

A celebration over Patricia’s life will be held at 10:00am, her service will begin at noon both on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at the Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home- 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051
