Obituary of Shannon L. Lesher

Please share a memory of Shannon to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Shannon L. Lesher, 39, of Walton, KY, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, after a courageous 14-month battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family who kept her comfortable during her last days.

The daughter of Gary and Susan {Brown} Predmore, Shannon was born in Columbus, OH, on April 14, 1985. After graduating from Northmont High School in 2003, she pursued her dream career in aviation. Shannon obtained an associate’s degree in aeronautics from Sinclair Community College and a bachelor’s degree in aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. She worked for companies such as Endeavor Air and most recently FEAM Aero as a tool specialist. Driven by her passion for flight and unwavering determination, Shannon earned her Single Engine and Multi-Engine Commercial certificates and Instrument rating. Shannon also was a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) and Advanced Ground Instructor, which allowed her to share her knowledge and enthusiasm for flight with others.

Shannon married the love of her life, Jesse Lesher, in Dayton, OH, on June 16, 2012. Together they created a beautiful family, welcoming two sons, Jacen and Logan. Shannon enjoyed watching her boys play sports and participate in various activities. She was a member of Hopeful Lutheran Church and became a committee member of Walton’s Cub Scout Pack #833. Her favorite pastimes included staying up late playing card and board games with her husband and friends, mastering her baking skills, golfing, and watching her beloved Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Reds, and Ohio State Buckeyes! Most of all, Shannon cherished the quality time spent with her family; she will be forever missed.

Left to treasure Shannon’s memory are her beloved husband of 12 years and two sons; parents Sue and Gary Predmore; sister Erica (Ryan) Roberts, niece Peyton and nephew Jackson; godfather, Joel Brown; mother-in-law Cathy (Chris) Patzell; brother-in-law Jacob (Davina) Lesher, nieces Samantha and Abigail; grandparents Kathy and Dwain Foltz; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her loving cat, Bentley, who was always by her side.

Preceding her in death are her maternal grandparents, Gloria and Richard Brown; paternal grandparents Robert and Joanne Predmore; and father-in-law Thomas Lesher.

A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, October 14, at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 45 North Main St., Walton, KY, 41094. An additional visitation hour will be held before her funeral service from 10-11 a.m., with the service beginning at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 15, at Hopeful Lutheran Church, 6430 Hopeful Church Road, Florence, KY, 41042.
