Obituary of Linda Jean Hopper
Linda Jean Hopper of Union, age 79, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 14, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. She was in born in Covington, KY on February 15, 1945, to the late George and Ruth {Scott} Holt. Linda was a devoted member of Union Baptist Church and enjoyed participating in the church activities, especially Sunday school. Linda was a bit of a social butterfly, her friendly smile and passion for helping others made her such a joy to be around. Throughout her years, she enjoyed doing crafts, shopping with her sister, playing Bunco with neighbors, and talking on the phone. Linda adored her grandchildren and especially loved spending time with her family. She was a mom, mamaw, sister, and friend who will be missed beyond measure.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul D. Hopper; son, Robert A. Hopper; and her brother, Donald Holt.
Survivors include her loving son, Mike Hopper; siblings, Mike (Nancy) Ellis and Judy (Paul) Kaiser; beloved grandchildren, John (Joanna) Hopper, Sean (Mackenzie) Hopper, Micheala Hopper, Madison (Jaxon) Moran, Morgan (Taylor) Morris, Noah (Morgan Lefevers) Hopper, and Katie (Dalton) Cook; great-grandchildren, Alex Chisom-Hopper, Ally Hopper, James Hopper, Gabe Hopper, Hunter Hopper, Hayden Hopper, Ryker Hopper, Emery Kate Hopper, and Miller Cook; one great-great-grandchild, Thomas; as well as other friends and relatives who will cherish her memory.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike Independence, KY 41051. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM, at the funeral home. Immediately following the service, Linda will be laid to rest at Independence Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made in her name to Union Baptist Church, 1985 Union School Rd. Union, KY 41091.
