Obituary of Terry Lee Means

Terry Lee Means of Independence, age 77, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY. He was born in Covington, KY on July 13, 1947, to the late Louis and Helen {Martin} Means. Terry retired from Cincinnati Bell after many years and was a veteran, proudly serving 10 years in the United States Navy. Terry enjoyed the simple things in life. When he was younger, he liked to go bowling and play golf. He spent most of his time at home with his family and watching movies, especially Titanic. He was a husband, father, brother, and friend who will be missed by those who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Elaine Turner and Sandy Hoskins.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Daelene Means; beloved children, Mark (Jackie) Means and Keri Means; siblings, Roger Means, Darrell Means, and Lois Clayton; his cat, Joey; as well as several other friends and relatives who will cherish his memory.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike Independence, KY 41051. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM, at the funeral home. Immediately following the service, Terry will be laid to rest at Independence Cemetery.
