Amy Duncan, 41, of Independence, KY, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. The daughter of the late William “Gary” Duncan and Joan “Joanie” Ellen Phillips, Amy was born in Cincinnati, OH, on April 28, 1983.

Amy had a heart of gold and she loved her family and friends tremendously. She had generosity unlike any other and was proud to be a registered organ donor; although she did not qualify for donation, she supported Network for Hope’s purpose. An animal lover by nature, Amy had a special love for her cats and animals. She enjoyed listening to music and polishing her nails. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her beloved daughter, Amya, who she loved dearly. She also enjoyed the company of her siblings, nieces and nephews, and many other family members. Her absence will undoubtedly be felt by many.

She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Amya Toni Eastman; siblings, Benny (Brittany) Fields II, Cieara (Tyrone) Smith, and “BJ” William Duncan Jr; nieces and nephews, Gabbi, Maria, Hayley, Alex, Sage, Tyrone, and Liam; and many other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and extended family members who will forever cherish Amy’s memory.

In addition to her parents, Amy was preceded in death by her daughter, Jazmine Faith Casey; sister, Brandi Fields; and her grandmothers, Gertrude Phillips and Wilma Duncan.

A celebration of life service will be held at the convenience of the family.
