Obituary of Jerry Carr
Jerry Jennene Carr, age 75, of Covington, KY passed away on December 9, 2024 and is now at peace. The daughter of Franklin and Violet Sprague raised in Northern KY. Sister to Terry and Joseph. Jerry was an organized and creative person. She worked as a Tax Examiner for the IRS for many years where her scrupulous eye was an asset. A member of the Free Pentecostal Church in Latonia, KY for many years. A dedicated community member. Jerry served on the school’s PTA as member and president for Latonia Elementary throughout the school years of her four children. Her family fondly remembers school projects and craft shows that Jerry poured her time and talent into. She very much enjoyed the endeavor. She had the honor of being promoted to “Nana” to 11 grandchildren and to 6 great-grandchildren. Even then, she spent time having fun crafting creations such as paintings of nature on many different canvas’, crocheting, and even coloring. She loved being involved with her family events and she had made great friends through the years. With friends she ventured on vacations and played cards.
Jerry is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Joseph Sprague.
Her family is happy for her to be released from pain but will forever cherish the memories made with her. Left to mourn her loss are children, Samuel “Nick” Carr, Christina Carr, James (Naomi) Carr, and Cara (Cory Hartke) Carr; grandchildren, Michael, Devin, Brittney, Niles, Haley, Taylor, Emanuel, Briana, Rory, Eli, and Paisley; great-grandchildren, Conner, Oliver, Alice, Millie, Aryiah, Aalani; her sister, Terry (John “Jack”) Rudolph; and many friends.
Jerry’s family will hold an intimate gathering at a later date to lay her to rest on her family homestead.
