I met Dick Day in 1958 when I arrived on Davis-Monthan AFB. Dick was one of the good guys and with us he was the best of the "BEST'. You could always believe in what Dick told you. We had a little fun in those days like chasing Jackrabbits in the Arizona desert. A group of us Airman from those days have been geting together every 2-3 years to talk about our Air Force days. Also whenever I would call Dick and ask how he was doing his first response was "up and at'em". Now he is "up and at'em in heaven". Old solders never die they just fade away.
