Barbara Ransler was the niece of my father (Louis Arden Thompson) who was the brother of Stella Thompson (Barbara's mother). At age 13 (1957), I met Barbara and many of the other Lutes family during a family vacation trip to Kentucky. My mother (Mary Elizabeth Jockey Thompson - 2002 photo attached) maintained contact with Barbara for many years until her death in 2015. I kept up that correspondence until now. Barbara was intent on keeping family together and I hope that will be maintained. The Lutes family should be proud of many of its members including Barbara!
