Obituary of Darian E Huddleston
Darian Huddleston, age 19, of Florence, KY, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025 with his family by his side. Born on April 15, 2005, he was a shining light to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he faced life’s challenges with abilities different from others and used a wheelchair and a service dog, named Chief, Darian lived with a vibrancy that left an indelible mark on his community. He showed people that the impossible is possible.
He was known for his unwavering love of SpongeBob SquarePants, Barney, and Mickey Mouse, three characters that matched his own playful spirit and sense of adventure. A true connoisseur of life’s simple pleasures, he cherished Coca-Cola, and McDonalds Cheeseburgers with French fries, and the joy they brought him.
Darian was an active member of the Gulf Port, Mississippi community. Whether participating in parades with a smile that lit up the streets or spreading joy through his music, he brought people together in a way few could. He enjoyed playing ball as well as wrestling with his dad and best friend. His love for music was unmatched; he had a natural interest in playing the piano and tambourine, and his iPad playlists were legendary. Music wasn’t just a hobby for Darian—it was an extension of his soul, bringing happiness to all who listened.
To his family, Darian was affectionately known as the “Boss” and a “Ladies’ Man,” titles he carried with confidence and charm. He shared a unique bond with his sister, always ready to make her laugh with his wit and endearing personality. Of course, as any little brother would, he also knew all the ways to perfectly rile her up.
Though his time on Earth was too short, Darian lived a full and meaningful life, teaching others about resilience, joy, and unconditional love. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, music, and a community inspired by his courage and kindness.
Darian is survived by his parents, Randall and Stephanie (Huddleston) Weaver; his sister, Cayden Ivy; his grandparents Jim and Sue Reece and Cindy Mudrick; his service dog and companion, Chief; cousin and friend, Aiden; and an extended family and network of friends who adored him.
A celebration of Darian’s extraordinary life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home 8461 Dixie Highway, Florence, KY, with visitation beginning at 4:00pm and service beginning at 6:00pm. Attendees are invited to wear bright colors.
