Obituary of Dianna Bell Mullins
Dianna Bell Mullins, a beloved member of the Manchester community, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, at Villa Spring in Erlanger, Kentucky, at the age of 83. Born on February 29, 1941, Dianna was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother,great grandmother, Aunt and friend who left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Dianna dedicated her life to caring for others as a homemaker and caretaker, always prioritizing the well-being of her family and loved ones. She was known for her deep compassion, kindness, and her ability to bring joy to those around her. She took pleasure in tending to her garden, and her love for animals, particularly cats, was evident to anyone who visited her home. A devoted Christian and faithful member of White Hall Baptist Church, Dianna enjoyed singing in church and shared her beautiful voice with others, including at the nursing home, where she brought comfort and joy to residents. She had an infectious sense of humor and a caring spirit that made her a joy to be around. Her presence was always a source of warmth and love. Dianna’s life was a testament to the values of love, compassion, and selflessness. She is survived by her family and many close friends who will forever remember her kindness, laughter, and unwavering support.
Dianna is preceded in death by her parents, Martha and James Pennington; her first husband, Oscar Mullins; daughter, Shirley Ann Mullins, son, E.J. Mullins; grandson, Darrel Mullins, Jr.; brothers James Pennington & Robert Lee Pennington, and her sisters, Faye Greer, Lois York, and Geraldine Hardin.
She is survived by her loving children, Darrel ( Jeanie) Mullins and Rob (Donna) Mullins; her husband, Maynard Smith; beloved grandchildren, Aubrey Mullins, Brad Mullins, Mackenzie Mullins, Tammy Partin and Elizabeth Huddleston; her great-grandchildren, Desiree Mullins and Harper Mullins ; siblings, Betty Buckler, Sylvia (Mike) Fitzgibbon and Mary Lou Cox as well as many nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway Florence, KY 41042. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM. Immediately following the service, Dianna will be laid to rest at Burlington Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made in her name to Villa Springs, 4220 Houston Rd. Erlanger, KY 41018.
