Obituary of William Hamilton

William "Whistling Bill" Hamilton, 79, of Fort Wright, died Saturday at his home. He was a retired United Parcel Service driver in Falmouth and founder of W. Hamilton & Son Starters and Alternators, Fort Wright. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. His wife, Roma Lee Hamilton, died in 1994. Survivors include a son, William Woodford Hamilton of Independence; a daughter, Margie Baker of Olsmar, Fla.; a sister, JoAnn Green of Cincinnati; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be at noon Tuesday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill.
