Obituary of Velma N. Rider

Velma N. Browning Rider, 69, of Covington, died Monday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington. She was a retired nurse with St. Charles Care Center, Covington. A daughter, Alice Rider, died in 1976. Sons, Jeff Rider and Michael Rider, died in 1984 and 1997, respectively. Survivors include daughters, Teri Rider of Florence, Robin Rider Osborne of Crescent Springs, Lesa Rider of Walton and Nancy Ruby of Independence; a brother, Frank Browning of Minneapolis; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services were private. Burial was in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill. Memorials are suggested to New Perceptions, 1 Sperti Drive, Edgewood, Ky. 41017.
