Raymond Earl Simpson Sr., 79, of Florence, died Friday at Florence Park Care Center. He was a retired machinist from General Electric, Cincinnati, an Army veteran of World War II, a Union Steward, and a member of Central Church of the Nazarene, Fort Wright. A son, Ralph "Rusty" Edward Simpson, preceded him in death . Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Thompson Simpson; sons, Raymond Earl Simpson Jr. of Union, Michael Wayne Simpson and Ronald Keith Simpson, both of Florence, and Kenneth Lee Simpson of Pendleton County; daughters, Diane McLaren of Southgate, Debbie Reineke of Verona, Kathy Herdman, Paula Simpson, Kimberly Miller, and Tracy Sebastian, all of Florence, and Tina Longhauser of New London, Wis.; four sisters, four brothers, 37 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Central Church of the Nazarene, Fort Wright. Visitation will begin there at 9 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Fort Mitchell. Memorials are suggested to Central Church of the Nazarene, 2006 Pieck Drive, Fort Wright, Ky. 41011. Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence, is handling the arrangements.
