Richard Lee Leadbeater, age 61 of Independence, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Edgewood. A Machine operator for ZF Steering, LLC., he enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling and was a big Kentucky Wildcat Basketball and Cincinnati Bengals fan. Preceded in death by his father, Wilbert Leadbeater and his brother, Bill Leadbeater. Survived by wife, Brenda Leadbeater, mother, Anna Leadbeater of Melbourne, Fla., 4 daughters, 2 sons, 3 sisters, Mary Ann Straty of Columbus, Oh., Debbie Jeffcoat of Shelbyville, Ky. and Patty Maier of Melbourne, Fla. and also 15 grandchildren.
Services will be held at Chambers & Grubbs Florence. Visitation will be 5-8 pm. Tuesday, January 10, 2012. Funeral service will be 10 am. Wednesday, January 11, 2012. Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery, Keavy, Ky
