Charles E. "Teach" Reynolds (November 14, 1947-January 12, 2012), of Independence, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Edgewood. He was a retired Educator for Lloyd and Walton-Verona High Schools, U.S. Army Veteran, recipient of National Defense Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal and expert M-14/M-16, Past Commander of American Legion Post 4, Florence, Ky., member of Crittenden Baptist Church, Kentucky Colonel, Beloved Father, Brother, Grandfather, Teacher and friend. Preceded in death by his parents, William and Lucy Reynolds and brothers, Wilbur and Emmett Reynolds. Survived by son Charles E. Reynolds, Jr., grandchildren Julia, Charles II and Dustin Reynolds, brother Don Reynolds, sisters Edith Benson, Roberta Profitt, Barbara Litell, Phyllis Johns, Shirley Reynolds and many dear nieces/nephews.
Services will be held at Chambers & Grubbs Walton. Visitation will be 5-8 pm. Monday, January 16, 2012. Funeral service will be at 7 pm. Burial will be in Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown.
