Obituary of Doris Elizabeth Gersper

Doris Elizabeth Hubbard Gersper, 79, of Independence, died Friday at the Cleveland Clinic. She was a retired buffet cook with Flying J in Walton. Sons Edward Earl Edmonson and Walter Franklin Edmonson died in 1982 and 1997. A daughter, Vinia Marie Luttrell, died in 1997. Survivors include daughters, Jackie Barnes of Latonia and Mary Stolz of Independence; sons, Sam Gersper and Michael Gersper, both of Independence, and William Gersper of Sparta; sisters, Alice Smith of Greensburg, Ind., and Irene Tanner of Morning View; brothers, Sam Hubbard of Florida, Charlie Hubbard of Florence, Lawrence Hubbard and Johnny Hubbard, both of Morning View; and four grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill.
