Obituary of Gertrude Lavina Briggs

Gertrude "Trudi" Briggs, 80, of Erlanger, died Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Harold B. Briggs, preceded her in death. Survivors include sons, Dan Briggs of Edgewood and Timothy Briggs of Houston, Texas; a daughter, Kathleen Carr of Anchorage, Alaska; a sister, Mona Belle Fletcher of Hastings, Fla.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A remembrance service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Baptist Village Chapel, Erlanger. Burial will be in Paden Memorial Gardens, Paden, W.Va. Memorials are suggested to Billy Graham Crusades, One Billy Graham Parkway, Charlotte, N.C. 28201. Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence, is handling the arrangements.
