Obituary of Roy Holten

Roy Holten Jr., age 85 of Edgewood, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare of Edgewood. He was a retired, self-employed electronic technician for Consolidated Television, a WWII Army veteran who served at the Battle of the Bulge, a member of St. Pius X Church, the Golden Age Social Club, a past commander of American Legion Post 275, former Fire Chief of Independence Volunteer Fire Department, volunteer at Be Concerned, Inc. and an avid hunter. He is preceded in death by an infant son.
Roy is survived by his wife, Patricia Holten; daughter, Beverly Tessner of Edgewood; sons, Scott Holten of Morning View, Glenn Holten of Independence, & Roy Patrick Holten of Phoenix, AZ; 9 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 16, 2012 from 10am-12 noon with a Christian Mass ceremony following at Noon at St. Pius X Church, Edgewood. Memorial donations requested to Be Concerned, Inc., 714 Washington St., Covington, Ky. 41011-2315. He will be laid to rest at Floral Hills Memorial Garden, Taylor Mill.
