Samuel Ruffner Reynolds, 78, died Friday at Harborside Health Care Center, Florence.
He was a gatekeeper at Camp Marydale, member of Christian Science and enjoyed traveling to 49 states by bus.
Survivors include his sisters, Martha Burton Reynolds and Beth Ferguson.
Services will be at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be in Rice Cemetery, Union.
Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
