Obituary of Joan Muth

Joan Ann Fontana Muth, age 73, of Independence, died Sunday, January 15, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood. She was a retired Manager for the Internal Revenue Service and enjoyed gardening, traveling, shopping, sewing, U.K. basketball, and spending time with her family. Her beloved husband, Arthur George Muth III, and her brother-in-law, Jack Molloy preceded her in death. Ms. Muth was a devoted mother to her children, Kimberly Wachs, Arthur G. (Noreen)Muth IV, Tina (Jeff) Barnhorst, and John Bronkhorst; dear sister, Louise Molloy; and loving grandmother of Chad, Kadi, Ryan, Danielle, Stephanie, Quentin, Billy, Austin, Brent, Carly, Shane, Craig, and great grandchildren, Taylor and Jade. Visitation will be Friday, January 20, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at St. Cecilia Church, 5313 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Funeral mass will begin at 12 noon at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Cecilia Church or St. Elizabeth Hospice.
