Obituary of Edith Mae Orr

Edith Mae Orr Remmell, 81, of Crossville, Tenn., formerly of Independence, died Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Donald Remmell; and sons, Donnie Banfield, Billy Banfield, and Andrew Banfield, preceded her in death. Survivors include sons, George Banfield and Harry Orr, both of Crossville, Tenn., Richard Banfield of Nashville, Tenn., Ronnie Banfield of Florence, and Gary Remmell of Independence; daughters, Donna Mae Lowe of Crossville, Tenn., and Debbie Tye of Taylor Mill; 25 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 7 p.m. today at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will begin there at 4 p.m. today. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery.
