Obituary of Richard C. Egbers

Richard C. Egbers, 54, of Independence, died Monday at his home. He was a building equipment mechanic with the U.S. Postal Service, a member of St. Patrick Church in Taylor Mill and American Legion Post No. 275, and an Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Denise Hamilton Egbers; daughters, Angela Egbers of Hebron and Anna Egbers of Independence; a sister, Sue Egbers of Amelia, Ohio; and brothers, Gerard "Dutch" Egbers of West Chester, Ohio, John "Jack" Egbers of Independence, Robert Egbers of Milford, Ohio, William Egbers of San Francisco and Michael Egbers of Cincinnati. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Church, Taylor Mill. Visitation will begin there at 9 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society, 297 Buttermilk Pike, Fort Mitchell, Ky. 41017; or St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, 401 E. 20th St., Covington, Ky. 41014.
