Obituary of Virginia Mabel Callen

Virginia Mabel Mullins Callen, 79, of Fairview, died Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Richard Lee Callen, preceded her in death. Survivors include sons, Wilburn Callen of Independence, Robert Callen of Florence, Glenn Callen of Verona, and Dennis "Todd" Callen of Fairview; brothers, Eldon Mullins of McKee and Ellis Mullins of Independence; sisters, Alberta Tobergte of Burlington and Katherine Collins of Williamstown; eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will begin there at noon Monday. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery.
