Even as I write this, I still can't believe he's gone. Steve always seemed to be somehow 'charmed'. His courageous, devil-may-care attitude paved the way to many adventures in his life, and although he had some bad patches, like everyone, he always seemed to land firmly and squarely on his feet. I believe he had an angel on his shoulder. He was bright, funny, smart, savvy, multi-talented, multi-faceted, a techno-geek, and a real stinker sometimes. He could be childish and selfish one minute, caring and giving the next. No matter what, you couldn't stay mad at Steve; he was just too damned charming. He was always getting into something new, had something interesting to say, had a story to tell. He goes down in my book as one of life's true Characters. Those of us who called him friend, those whose lives he touched, will take away fond and funny memories of him. Time spent with Steve was always interesting, and our lives are a bit richer for having really known him. Like a beacon, he just drew you in. There's not one among us that doesn't have a funny or interesting 'Steve Story' to share, and we'll always get a laugh from recalling them, from recalling him. Steve was larger than life. His light shined bright. On to your next adventure, SNM. We love you. We miss you. To his family and daughter Jessie, my very deepest condolences.
