Obituary of Howard Wermuth

Howard Wermuth, 85, of Independence, died Sunday at Brighton Gardens, Edgewood. He was a retired maintenance worker with Jewish Hospital, Cincinnati, and attended First Baptist Church, Independence. Survivors include his wife, Mabel Lipscomb Wermuth; a daughter, Paula Hoffman of Edgewood; sons, Howard "Gregory" Wermuth of Independence, Glen Wermuth of Deerfield Township, Ohio, and Mark Wermuth of Florence; sisters, Ethel Demasters, Mary Schmidt and Helen Williams, all of Cincinnati, and Shirley Seitz of Lebanon, Ohio; brothers, Victor Elmer Wermuth and Paul Wermuth, both of Cincinnati; five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, Independence. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church Thanksgiving Fund, 11659 Madison Pike, Independence, Ky. 41051.
