Obituary of Dora Wesselman

Dora Rosa Martin Wesselman, age 59, of Walton, died Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. A homemaker and a member of St. Cecilia Church in Independence, Dora enjoyed crocheting, sewing, animals and going for walks. She was a wonderful baker and was often referred to as the "Energizer Bunny" due to her boundless energy.
Survivors include her husband, Jude Wesselman; sons, Jonathan Matthew Wesselman and Raymond Martin; daughters, Jennifer Wesselman-Iles and Sarah Martin-Sheriff; sisters, Dorothy Hay, Amelia Sousa, Georgia Davies, Joan Cappel, and Carol Martin; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at St. Cecilia Church, 5313 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 12 noon at the church. Interment will be at St. Cecilia Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Cecilia Church, St. Elizabeth Hospice, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, 1515 Holcombe Blvd Houston, TX 77030, or the American Cancer Society.
