Obituary of Oakley Dale Stephens

Oakley Stephens, 52, of Independence, died Tuesday at his residence. He was a retired self-employed diesel mechanic. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Zschau Stephens; a son, Rodney Stephens of Elsmere; daughters, Tracy Schlensker and Amanda Addison, both of Covington; a brother, Luther Berle Stephens of Petersburg; sisters, Ruth Maxwell of Indianapolis, Ind., Anne Linden of Union, Wanda Evans of Ludlow, Judy Tapley of Revelo, Jean Smith of Florence, and Kathy Wilson of Xenia, Ohio; and five grandchildren. No services or visitation are scheduled. Mr. Stephens will be cremated. Memorials are suggested to the Association for the Blind, 2045 Gilbert Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio 45202. Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence, is handling the arrangements.
