Obituary of Hugh Ray

Hugh C. Ray, age 93, of Demossville, died Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare of Edgewood. Mr. Ray was a retired Shipping Clerk for Cincinnati Sheet & Metal Company and an Army Veteran of WWII. He was a member of Wilmington Baptist Church, the Florence Masonic Lodge, the V.F.W., and enjoyed raising mules. His son, William Clayton Ray, preceded him in death, while serving his country in the Vietnam War in 1970.
Survivors include his wife, Beryl Ledford Ray; sons, Jennings Ray; Kenneth (Joyce) Ray; and five grandchildren, Adam, Ethan, Jessie, Cheyenne, and Chris.
Visitation will be Monday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. Masonic services will begin at 11:30 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be at Wilmington Cemetery in Fiskburg, KY. Memorials may be made to Wilmington Baptist Church.
