Obituary of Genevieve Meenach

Genevieve "Genny" Elsie Laker Meenach, age 75, of Independence, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Cecilia Parish in Independence. Mrs. Meenach enjoyed shopping, snow skiing, oil painting, and spending time with her beloved family.
Survivors include her loving husband (of 55 years) Ralph Claude Meenach; sons, Dave (Dawn) Meenach, Mike (Terri) Meenach, and Rick (David)Meenach ; daughters, Donna (Rick)Prather, Sandy Meenach, Pam (Gary)Schneider, Michelle (Mike) Hickey, Krista Meenach; brothers, Butch Laker, George Laker, and Al Laker; fifteen grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at St. Cecilia, 5313 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 6 p.m., Sunday, at the church. Interment will be at St. Cecilia Cemetery on Monday at 10 a.m. Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence is assisting the family.
Memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Cancer Center at 1 Medical Village Drive, Edgewood, KY 41017 or St. Cecilia Parish.
