Charles Rufus "Pete" Ping, 81, of Latonia, died Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North, Covington.
He was a retired assembly lineman from the Mueller Licorice Candy Factory and a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church, Covington.

There are no immediate survivors.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Oak Ridge Baptist Church, Covington. Visitation will begin there at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Oak Ridge Baptist Church, 6036 Clubhouse Drive, Covington, Ky. 41015. Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence, is handling the arrangements.
