Obituary of Jess Leffler

Jess W. Leffler, 87, of Independence, passed away Monday, February 20, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospice of Ft. Thomas, KY. He was an electrician who retired from US Playing Card Company, a member of Oakridge Baptist Church, a member of the Bradford Masonic Lodge #123, F & AM of Independence and Scottish Rite of Covington, and was a US Navy Veteran of WWII. Jess also enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and was an avid U.K. Basketball fan. Survivors include his wife Jerre Powers Leffler; daughters Peggy Williams of Walton and April Stutler of Alpharetta, GA; sons Paul Leffler of Covington, Charles Leffler of Brookeville, MD, and Richard Leffler of Independence; sister Frankie Sue Vargason of Covington; 11 Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Vicki Leffler in 2003. Visitation will be from 10 AM until time of Funeral Service at 12 Noon, Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home of Independence. Burial will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
